Born and raised in Southeast Saskatchewan, Mr. Richards has a diverse background in business, government and leadership. After more than a decade as a small business owner, he has spent the last fifteen years in senior leadership roles across a number of sectors.
Currently he is the Executive Director of the Weyburn Wor-Kin Shop, is serving his second term on Weyburn City Council, and is the Board Chair at Weyburn Credit Union. Mr. Richards holds the Institute of Corporate Directors Designation (ICD.D), as well as the Credit Union Director Achievement (CUDA) certification.
As a dedicated community builder, Mr. Richards devotes his time to organizations that are working to build stronger and better communities. He has worked with business groups in Canada and the US.
